The Cedarburg Art Museum permanent collection is composed of 16% female artists and this exhibition is meant to celebrate these spectacular women and their works as well as highlight the disparity in collections and exhibitions across the country.

Calling all quilts and the people who love them! Help us save the stories in the stitches by bringing your precious family heirlooms (or modern creations) to Documentation Day at the WMQFA's farmstead. We will record the history of the quilt, create a detailed description, take a digital image, and save this information in our archives.  We will include your quilt in an online database, the Quilt Index where it can be accessed and studied for years to come, at no charge. Our trained volunteers can tell you when and how your antique quilt was made and give suggestions on proper care and storage.  During the documentation event, our volunteers will help you fill out a detailed form (Quilt-Documentation). You may already have some information and can bring this along to the documentation.

Rosemary Ollison: Know My Heart features the complex textile oeuvre of Milwaukee-based artist Rosemary Ollison. In her eighties, Ollison has been making art in her home environment for thirty years. This exhibition will be Ollison's first-ever solo museum exhibit. Accompanying the exhibit will be a fully illustrated catalog featuring her unpublished writings and scholarly essays by Dr. Sharbreon Plummer and Debra Brehmer. "Rosemary Ollison: Know My Heart" runs from August 15 through December 7, 2025.

Carlton and Kupinsky create an exhibition that envelops the viewer in repeating forms that fill the space, allowing direct interaction with the environment built within the museum. The blur between the natural and man-made extends to the concepts presented by each artist, marked parallels coalesce between the land, human, and animal.

Collecting Her: Women from the Cedarburg Art Museum’s Permanent Collection August 28th – November 9th, 2025 Reception: Saturday, November 8th from 2 – 4pm In a recent survey of museum collections, it was found that among the represented artists only 13% were female even though 70% of bachelor of fine arts degrees are earned by women. The Cedarburg Art Museum permanent collection is composed of 16% female artists and this exhibition is meant to celebrate these spectacular women and their works as well as highlight the disparity in collections and exhibitions across the country.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ozaukee County and Event Sponsors Capitol Hustings and EOS, is excited to announce its much-anticipated Wine & Whiskey Walk, a fundraising event bringing the community together for a beautiful autumn day of specialty whiskey cocktails and wines, camaraderie, and support for youth mentoring. The event will be held on November 8, 2025, in Cedarburg, where guests will stroll through participating establishments and enjoy specialty whiskey cocktails and selected wines. The $35 pre-registration tickets will include an event swag bag and small lunch at the Cedarburg Cultural Center at 11:00 AM. Following lunch our participants, who must be 21 years of age or older, will be paired in groups of 30-35 and will “walk” their assigned route to visit our five establishments. The amazing establishments are Anvil Pub & Grille, Art of Joy, Lime Cantina, North 48, and Timber Club at Stagecoach Inn, who truly make this a one-of-a-kind community experience.
